Dr. Kristina Romic, B.Sc, DDS

SUNNYBROOK HEALTH SCIENCE CENTRE-2009- Dental Residency
Dr. Kristina Romic graduated with honours and distinction from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, in 2008. She then completed a residency at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, where she worked alongside some of Canada’s top dental specialists to provide care to patients with complex dental needs.
During her residency, Dr. Romic gained experience in many aspects of clinical dentistry, particularly dental surgery and care of oral cancer patients. She also received her training and certification in Intravenous Sedation and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
During her dental school career, Dr. Romic was recognized with multiple awards and scholarships for her outstanding academic and clinical performance. Upon graduation, she was the winner of the prestigious JG Bourassa Cup for being the most outstanding student in her graduating class, and was inducted into the OKU Honour Dental Society, for being in the top 5% of dental students.
Dr. Romic focuses her practice on treating the entire family. Whether she is treating children for cavities, removing wisdom teeth in teenagers or providing cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry in adults, she prides herself on providing the highest standard of care, and she always does it with a smile.
Dr. Shahab Tabesh, B.Sc, DDS
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO-2008 -Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Tabesh graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, as president of the Dental Student’s Society, in 2008. Shortly after graduation Dr. Tabesh began his dental career working in practices focused on family, cosmetic and implant dentistry.
As part of his commitment to patient care, Dr. Tabesh is heavily invested in continuing education, and continues to pursue advanced education and training on a continual basis. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Ontario and Canadian Dental Associations, and has received fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, for his training and experience with dental implants and prosthetics.
Dr. Tabesh believes that educating patients about their oral health is the key to long term, successful dental care. He focuses on educating patients about the many facets of oral health, including the health of their teeth, gums, bone and jaw joints. In doing so, he hopes to foster long term collaborative relationships which lead to happy, healthy and beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.
Dr. Nyresa Alves
Dr. Alves completed an Honors Bachelor of Science, specializing in neuroscience. Continuing at the University of Toronto, she completed her Master of Science in neuroscience and physiology. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery, also at the University of Toronto graduating in 2013. She is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including restorations, surgical procedures, pediatrics, crown and bridges and dentures. Her warm and relaxed chair side approach instantly makes patients feel at ease and allows anxious patients to enjoy their experience at the dental office.
Dr. Encioiu
Endodontist
Dr. Encioiu has been the Endodontist at Romic-Tabesh Family Dentistry since 2015.
Dr. Encioiu specializes in root canals. Originally from Toronto, he graduated with distinction from York University with a major in Psychology. In 2008, Dr. Encioiu obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Toronto and he specialized in Endodontics at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Encioiu is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of The American Association of Endodontists and an associate instructor in the faculty of Endodontics at The University of Toronto.
The author of numerous publications, Dr. Encioiu has presented at major dental conferences including both the American and International Associations of Dental Research.
